This guy wants to make every Android fanboy's wet dream come
true, but a lawsuit is on the horizon if this new competitor ever
takes off. Replicating Nokia's hardware without infringing the
patents that MS bought won't be easy.
Yeah. First of all, 'Newkia' sounds like a PRC ripoff firm (like
you know, Hovono computer products or Asadi sandals or Babie
dolls). I would have thought that it was a troll post by 9gag if
CNet had not posted the news.
Secondly, Microsoft will sue their pants off for mispresentation
and riding on their coattails. And they will bring in all the best
lawyers money can buy (and boy, do they have lots of money)
Thirdly, I can think of a better name for the company:
Zilliacus. Named after the fella himself, Thomas
Zilliacus. Cool, distinctive, and it makes a clean break from
Nokia.
How about that, Tommy? Wanna make me your Chief Technology
Officer?
